Video games have virtually no seriousness to them (although a lot of people do take video games very seriously.) No, in video games there is no NEED to do anything. You explore, experiment, and focus on doing pretty much only what you want to do. More importantly, in most games, you get to try again, and again, and again until you get to where you want and what you want.

Real life tends to feel very opposite of this idea. It seems so full of obligation and punishment, and we just want to hide away. The world seems scary with its "unavoidables" and its "suck its ups" and all the "terrible people." But when you momentarily feel like its going to be okay even if you don't know what's coming or what to do, you've rediscovered the reality of your playfulness and wonder. Life is a game if you want it to be. Have fun with it.

Reason for Being explores reminiscence, nostalgia and innocence. While the world seems to endure so much upheaval, you are still here. Right here, right now. You're going to be okay.
